getting started
What are the benefits of a strong pelvic floor?
Better bladder control, stronger core stability, improved sexual sensation, and reduced risk of pelvic organ prolapse. The pelvic floor supports your bladder, uterus, and rectum — when it's strong, these systems function better.
When it's weak, you get leaks, discomfort, and progressive deterioration that becomes harder to reverse over time.
How do I use The Toner?
Insert the weight with the retrieval string outside your body. Contract your pelvic floor muscles to lift and hold for a few seconds, then release.
You're doing it correctly if you feel a consistent squeeze without engaging your abs or glutes. If the weight slips out, start with the lightest weight (25g) or try lying down until your muscles can maintain the hold. See our Exercise Guide for the full training protocol.
How long should I use it each day?
Fifteen minutes with a weight that challenges you. Standing and moving while wearing the weight encourages more active muscle engagement than lying still.
If you're fatigued or experiencing dryness, shorten the session. Consistency over time matters more than any single session.
How long before I see results?
Most women notice improvement in 2–4 weeks of consistent daily use. Full strength gains typically develop over 6–8 weeks.
This is progressive resistance training — the same principle behind any muscle-building program. Trust the process and stay consistent.
progression
How do I know when to move to the next weight?
When you can comfortably hold your current weight for one full minute without it slipping, you're ready to move up.
Progress from 25g toward 85g at whatever pace feels right. Some women progress in weeks, others take months. Both are normal.
What if I can't keep the weight in?
This is common when starting out. Start with the 25g weight and practice lying down before standing. Focus on isolating the pelvic floor contraction without engaging your abs or glutes.
As strength builds, you'll be able to hold the weight while standing, walking, and moving through daily activities. Every small hold is progress.
care & safety
How do I clean The Toner?
Wash before and after each use with warm water and mild soap. Rinse thoroughly and pat dry with a clean towel.
Do not use harsh chemicals, alcohol-based cleaners, or abrasive materials — these can damage the medical-grade silicone.
Can I use lubricant?
Yes — water-based lubricant only. It can help with insertion and adds a slight challenge by reducing grip, which makes your muscles work harder.
Do not use silicone-based lubricant. It degrades the silicone material over time.
Should it hurt?
No. Using The Toner should never be painful. If you experience discomfort, stop and consult your healthcare provider.
Pain typically indicates you're contracting the wrong muscles or using a weight that's too heavy for your current strength level.
Can I use The Toner during pregnancy?
Consult your healthcare provider before using The Toner during pregnancy or in the immediate postpartum period. Every pregnancy is different, and your provider can advise based on your specific situation.
Always consult with your medical provider before beginning any pelvic floor training program, especially if you are pregnant, postpartum, experiencing pain, or have a diagnosed pelvic condition.
tips for first-time users
A few things worth knowing
before you begin.
Start light
Begin with the 25g weight even if it feels easy. Build proper form before adding resistance.
Check your posture
A neutral spine makes a real difference. Avoid tensing your abs, glutes, or thighs — the pelvic floor should do the work alone.
Start short
Five minutes is better than zero. Build up to fifteen as your muscles adapt.
Be patient
Pelvic floor strength is built over weeks, not days. Consistency is the only shortcut.
